Being a mom of young kids, and Im sure this is definitely in the non-mom world as well but I know how much it exists among moms. We are always in competition with each other of whos a better mom. We are faced daily with websites such as pinterest and facebook giving us the notion that if we are not cutting our kids sandwiches into cute little animals or making all their meals solely from organic, non processed foods or hand stitching their clothes together etc etc etc, then we are doing this parenting thing all wrong and we must always make it seem as though we are supermom even if the reality is totally different. Someone told me once that they admire that I can admit when things arent always pretty. So for us moms out there I am going to take a leap of confidence and try to post some realistic posts every now and then. NOT posts of negativity as I really try to limit those, but ya know some days you just arent supermom and Im going to make myself vulnerable by admitting to some of those days. In hopes that other moms can feel like its ok to not be supermom all the time. Or super housewife. ;) I may get really confident and post a couple messy house pics but Im not sure about that one yet. :) Heres to those of us doing the best job we can at raising happy, healthy, respectful kids even if they dont have dinosaur shaped sandwiches. :)
