Being an artist I just watched George Clooneys WWII movie called Monument Men. AMAZING, the dedication of just a handful of soldiers saved over 5 million pieces of art from the Germans & Russians. Mainly from the most evil man to ever live Hitler. GREAT CAST! An inspiring movie to watch this Memorial Day and something everyone will enjoy that loves and supports the Arts & masters that created these works. AMERICAN HEROES and if any are still living, may God bless you and THANK YOU for giving your lives to save so much work that was rightfully returned to as many owners as they could find. They are still returning pieces illegally stolen. There is Interpol and the FBI that tracks down stolen art and if you know of any, please report it. Just five miles down the road a worker in Flat Rock, NC saw a real Rembrandt about 20 years ago in a home he was working in and he returned to take it. It was found in New York City and returned to the owners recently. NEVER tell others what you own or collect, especially if it is of sentimental or financial value. I have sold millions of collectibles of all price ranges over the years and preached this. Many that do not listen and just have to show off what they have, have been robbed of their collections. Most of the time you will NEVER recover those items. Like they say a secret is hard to keep and many people would explode if they did not tell just one person, well do that with your valuables and just like gossip, you will live to forever regret it. I also watched Gravity and love Sandra Bullock but this movie was a HUGE disappointment. This movie had cool space photography in it but the storyline and fact Sandra cut off her hair & George clooney was hardly in it, ranks it pretty bad to me. Glad I watched a true story about Monument Men last so that I can relish a movie Clooney helped finance just to have made for the big screen and one that gives credit to those servicemen. God bless you and keep you safe this holiday. THANKS AND GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS!
