Being honest about our brokenness before others is hard. We could - TopicsExpress

Being honest about our brokenness before others is hard. We could risk loosing everything as humans we value... our reputations... credentials...status... people. But being transparent and authentic about our brokenness and need for Gods grace and mercy allows us to highlight God and His redeeming power. Honesty about our brokenness allows us to receive and drink of the living water as spoke about in John chapter 4 ... That living water = freedom! The woman at the well was hiding in fear of rejection for many years. She encountered the love and grace of Jesus. What did he do?? ... exposed her failures/missteps so she didnt have to carry them around any more... she was free! My failure, your failure, our failures do not have to be final and define us... Failure is final if we allow it to define us by wearing masks, hiding, running in fear of what others might think... showing only your highlight reel instead of highlighting the Redeemer... trusting in yourself instead of the one who can give you that living water. All have sinned and fallen short of Gods glorious standard(Rom3:23). He loves when we give Him our mishaps, struggles, messes and allow HIM to receive all the glory. He loves when we are honest before Him, with ourselves, with others with our brokenness. MERCY IS WAITING ... if we are honest.
