Being introduced to House Music as a teenager in the 90s, I fell - TopicsExpress

Being introduced to House Music as a teenager in the 90s, I fell in love with not only the music, but everything else about it. Cliche as it sounds, House Music was always about LOVE. You could go to a club, and end up with 20 new mates by the end of the night. Nobody mocked anyone for the way they danced, the clothes they wore, where they were from or anything else. Words like Chavs, Hipsters, Shufflers, etc didnt exist then. Everybody was looked upon as equals and just there to enjoy the music and have a good time. Nowadays it seems people would rather spend their time mocking something instead of praising. I know we are now in the Social Media era, and its given people the opportunity to voice their opinions, but how about we all concentrate on praising / talking about what we love instead? So what if Paris Hilton is getting paid £500k or whatever it is to pretend to DJ, so what if Steve Aoki likes to throw cakes, and so what if someone dances in a way you think is funny. If you dont like something, you dont have to support it, nobody is forcing you. Funny thing, is you talking about who & what you hate and sharing videos etc is just giving that Artist even more exposure. When did we all become so serious & mean? Lets get back to enjoying the music and let people be free to express themselves how ever they like. On that note, Ill leave you with this classic remix from Deep Dish. I remember it being the 1st track on Ministry of Sound The Annual II in 1996, an album that really inspired me to become a DJ
