Being one of seven, my siblings and I were very fortunate to have - TopicsExpress

Being one of seven, my siblings and I were very fortunate to have parents with the insight (and space) to save timeless memorabilia from over the years to pass on to each of us. I have my birth, baptismal, first holy communion and confirmation certificates along with pictures and cards from those various occasions. I have each report card from first grade through my senior year in high school, those of which will remain hidden away in my keepsake box. I also have my school reports and artwork projects starting from when I was in kindergarten. So in honor of the time and ingenuity my parents took Ito save these things, I thought Id dig a few things out and share them in celebration of my 60th birthday. The first being a note my father wrote to my mother which he left at her bedside after I was born. As you know, back then most women were not awake during childbirth. My kindergarten class picture (Im in a red sweater in the front row) with a handwritten note from my teacher sharing her words of wisdom as I moved on from kindergarten to first grade. And last but not least is my first savings account which to my dismay hasnt grown much in the past 55 years! Hope you enjoy...
