Being quite blunt and addressing the issue we have at the moment. Why is the game dying? I have lots of thoughts. Have we perhaps got too competitive and does that put people off? Is the cost of events and product too high? The last few bigger tournaments we have held on Sundays have fallen flat on their face and operated at a loss due to low attendance. Weekly tournaments are now consistently pulling in less than six players. Were back to where we were 18 months ago when the same five faces showed up and everything was incredibly stale and uninspiring. The large Sunday tournaments just simply wont be happening anymore. I cant justify the time organising and James cant justify giving out prizes at a loss. Do people prefer the idea of moving back to lower entry cost events with less prizes (maybe even no prizes most weeks) and with builds that involve more scenario play or perhaps less competition? I do get concerned sometimes that whilst the standard of play and competition has risen at the shop its also left some people feeling left out or left behind and unable to compete which is a shame but also hard to manage. You guys tell me whats wrong? Perhaps its me and wed be better if somebody else took over organising and judging things with some fresh ideas?
