Being robbed while one is asleep is one issue,but being robbed while you watch thats something else. Did you know the management is going to fatten their pockets with close to K35million if our management is going to give us our upkeep allowances on "PRO-RATA" basis? Think of the people of the people who are on the "Malswitch" payroll or whatever you call it. Multiply the number of students on governments plan for the pocket money they give us by K30,000.00. What sum do you get? This is simple mathematics that a first year student can do without using his or her calculator so do you need us to bring a finale of Agriculture Economics to do the math for us? NO!!!! Are the rentals in the Mabalani, Mkunguza, Kitano and other hostels going to be deducted on PRO-RATA basis too? What about the remaining monies, is it going to go back to Government? NO!!!! The fat management managers will pocket our money(day light robbery) and fatten their already fat stomachs,buy more cars, owan property while we the owners of the little money will still be druzzing at Makatoni, struggling for our own bus to ride to town and living an uncomfortable life on this institution. Is this what you call academic freedom? Ask yourselves. Its time they(management) listen to our concerns and build a strong better Malawi which does not steal upkeep allowances of students.
