Being the Communiqué at the end of National Association of Polytechnic Students’ (NAPS) 24th National Congress Meeting held at Federal Polytechnic Offa, Kwara state on the 13th Dec. 2014. Preamble: National association of polytechnic students is the umbrella body for all Polytechnics, Mono-technics, Colleges of Technology, colleges of education and all other Allied Institutions awarding National and higher national diploma across the six geo-political zones of the federation and Diaspora. This association which is the second largest student movement in the African continent, with the conglomeration of all SUG president as senator, forming the senate assembly with over 31.1 million armless battalion Nigerian students membership strength , has been in the vanguard of campaign for equity, justice and good governance, free and qualitative education for over two decades. The contribution of our noble association in bringing about our nascent democracy cannot be over emphasized. NAPS is an affiliate of the International Students’ Union (ISU), All African Students’ Union (AASU), west African student union (WASU), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and has A CONSULTATIVE working relationship with UNESCO, UNICEF and ECOWAS. Ogbonaya Sunday of Delta state polytechnic Ogara Otefe, delta state After declaration of congress open by the president as conventionally required of NAPS President, the president acknowleged the ellaps of his tenure in office while pleading for more extention till January which was outrightyly rejected by the entire congress, the Senate president was also summon by the congress to give details of his secretariat report. After an extensive deliberation, the congress dissolved the entire executive and senate council of naps on the ground of abuse of Office and unnecessary elongation of tenure with no geniue excuse. The congress observed/confirmed the presence of all major aspirants and strong contenders particularly for the office of president and senate president, comr. Emmanuel Djenere of Federal polytechnic Nekede Imo state (Senate Presidential Aspirants) as such move for the election of new executive and senate council with the nomination and emergence of Comr. Liberty Nwagu as convention chairman. Comr. Esinrogunjo Musbau 2pac as convention clerk. Comr. Gabriel Abella as communique drafting committee chairman and comr. Alaga Abdulmaruf as secretary of the committee. The congress ascertain the peaceful atmosphere and conducive environment of the Venue.
