#Belarus seeks to create more agricultural companies in #Russia. Along with the effort to increase food supplies to Russia, Belarus plans to set up joint ventures in Russian regions to produce and process agricultural products, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview to Rossiya 1 TV channel. According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus has been upgrading its facilities. The high quality of Belarusian products is well-known in Russia and Belarusian products are very popular there. “They tell me however that all kinds of outlets called Belorusskoye (Made in Belarus) open in Russia and Ukraine; however these outlets sell nothing made in Belarus. This brand is used to sell anything but Belarusian. We do our best to prevent it. We do not want those who sell products under our trademark to hurt the reputation of our quality products,” the head of state said. The President stressed that Belarus is interested in increasing supplies of its products to Russia, especially given the current conditions. Belarus is even more interested in setting up new companies to produce and process agricultural products in Russia.
