Believe it or not President Goodluck Jonathan & his team have brought many changes that will help put Nigeria in the part to economic growth & prosperity. Like all investments in national development, gestation periods are usually long. This must have been in the mind of the wise men that drafted the 1999 Constitution that allows a president two terms. As a child of circumstance, this president first started his learning process completing anothers plans & only had to develop and deploy his own vision 2011. Unfortunately, the president assumed office when the citizenry were almost running out of patience with the old order & getting tired of the kleptomaniac antics of the ruling class which was why his breath of fresh air slogan made sense to them. Barely two years after, many of the same people that gave him unprecedented mandate now dont want him to carry his vision for Nigeria through by attempting to stamped him out of office after one term. This group has not thought about the learning curve and the implications of having a new and unprepared JJC mounting the thrown so soon to start implementing a new vision. Knowing that Nigerian politicians dont regard government as a continuum, have we thoroughly weighed the costs of reversing many policies that have not been seen through by this administration. Or do we just want to throw the baby away with the bath water? What do you say?
