Believing That Christ Is God Incarnate In Flesh - - - Jesus said, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom,” John 3:5. Did John contradict that? He said, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.” No. John knew that if we truly believed in the deity of Jesus, we would obey Jesus teaching to be born again of the water and Spirit. John could not contravene or rewrite the plan of salvation that Jesus had already articulated. The New Birth requires genuine repentance (turn from sin unto holy living) followed by both water and Spirit baptism, according to John 3:3-7 and Acts 2:38. - - - 1 John 5:1 - “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.”
