Bella and the Bulldogs is definitely not making a good first impression with me... It looks like every other Nickelodeon live action show, bad acting, camera, piss poor writing for these jokes. Really these Live Action shows Nickelodeon keeps pumping out seem to only appeal to the lowest common denominator if even that. It did don on me that this show is still trying to empower females and show girls can do what the boys can and such, but yknow who was also doing that? Korra. And well, Nickelodeon sure didnt seem to care then. But now that its LIVE ACTION, sure, lets empower the girls again. Got to love that backward progressive logic Nickelodeon always carries... and lets also make sure the characters dont connect to anything like the Korra characters did, thats important too! And another problem I have, is the Quarterback, Troy. Guys, a little bit of a Tip, a High School Quarterback, especially the star player of a team, doesnt look like a STICK FIGURE. Im not saying guys of different statures cant play football, but if this is supposed to be an Underdog Story of a Girl being both a Cheerleader and a Quarterback, then if THAT is your Quarterback, its not an underdog story, shes bigger than he is, EVERYONE on the cast is... seriously... Id hate to see him in a real game of football, hed get killed. Was he REALLY the only guy you could get for the role?? I know its a stupid show and screw logic but the problem is if youre trying to capture and interest an audience you need EFFORT, that goes especially in the writing and casting. Making a dude pompous and arrogant and a star when he looks so unbelievably pathetic. It isnt even ironically funny when hes already THERE, and the Star somehow! And it doesnt help the plot either. Really, this show is just like all the others on Nick... a waste of time and money and really just a pain to sit through. Where does Nick keep finding people to make these crap storms... I cant wait for all these live action shows to just die already, each one is the same as the last, a horrible conveyer belt of cheese and stale crackers that doesnt seem to want to end. If Hey Arnold truly gets revived, it cant come back soon enough because currently, Nickelodeon is as unwatchable as it gets.
