It was on this ground the Comrade Governor swing into action by request the House of Assembly to suspend the Executives/Councilors for the period of two months and immediately swear in a Sole Administrator to seat on behalf of the suspend Executives/Councilors pending the period of two months. In this light the Comrade Governor set up a four man committee of enquiry to investigate the alleged unapproved tour outside the country by the Executives/Councilors of Orhionmwon Local Government Council. It was later gathered that the Dr. Osagie Osariemen Obayuwana led committee did their job and came up with their reports. Below is one of their report, in page 9 stated as follows: “that the chairman informed the deputy Governor that he had submitted an application for permission to travel out which the deputy governor affirmed he would treat on its merit up presentation to him” this is to tell the good people of Orhionmwon and Edo people in general that the Deputy Governor of the State was aware of their tour but he denied it before the Governor. To further buttress that the suspension and reinstatement of Orhionmwon Executives/Councilor is becoming political and of financial interest. Here is the recommendation of the committee of enquiry set up by the Governor led by Dr. Osagie.O. Obayuwana as follows: I. That the Local Government Law (2000) as amended should be further amended, expressly to provide for and empower the governor to suspend any and all elected officials of the council, including the councilors. II. The institutionalization of a formal training programme for all elected and appointed officials, with a special focus on scope of authority, jurisdictional competence as well as administrative and financial guidelines. III. There should be a more rigorous enforcement mechanism on the rules guiding duty tours, local and foreign, which mechanism ought to keep in view at all times, the number of trips already made by the officer or officers, the purpose, duration and financial implication of the said proposed trips, as well as the impact of such a trip on good governance in the state or local government. In this report it will be gather that the Orhionmwon Executives/Councilors was not indicted in anyway and the governor has no right to request for their suspension as it stated in the first recommendation by the committee. Now it will recall that after this findings by the committee at the expiration of the two months the governor requested through the House of Assembly to look into the report submitted by the Obayuwana led committee and he further requested through the House of Assembly for another six months extension ignoring the decision of the committee he set up, which was further investigated to be of a political and financial interest. It was investigated that the Deputy Governor in alliance with the Governor have decided to retain the Sole Administrator to enable them conduct the upcoming APC Congress, coming up 15th March 2014. Mean while the committee report is currently at the House of Assembly for deliberation, after which they have turn down the Governor request for additional six months extension. In another investigation carried out, the House of Assembly led by Honorable Uyi Igbe in their language “not to displease the Governor request” extended the two months suspension with addiction one month which is to expire 18th February 2014. While filing this report we storm into an uncountable aggressive youths from Orhionmwon Local Government Area on the 10th February 2014 led by one Comrade Aifuewa Bartholomew and Comrade Ehigiator James , whos lives are currently been threatened for carrying out an appeal protest calling for the reinstatement of the Orhionmwon Local Council Executives/Councilors appealing to the House of Assembly and Edo State Government, that they want back their Elected Executives/Councilors despite the effort made by these Youths and the Orhionmwon people in general to get back their elected Executives/Councilors, information reaching us that the Governor and some Honorable members of House of Assembly are planning to pervert justice to injustice for their political and finical interest, using Orhionmwon Local Government Council as their Automated Teller Machine (ATM), neglecting the report of the committee of enquiry set up by the Comrade Governor, planning to extend the suspension of the Executives/Councilors with another one month again which will expire 18th March 2014. Interrogating the people from Orhionmwon Local Government Area, they all said that, they await for the verdicts of the House of Assembly, on or before the 18th February 2014 that any verdicts that is not in line with the report by the committee or reinstatement of the Executives/Councilors will result to close down of the Local Government Council, thereby making the ATM financial institution unavailable.
