Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerias: We are all deeply saddened to report that Ashley Fi’s mother passed away and Ashley returned home to Michigan over the weekend. On behalf of the staff and friends of US-Brazil Connect, Conexao Mundo, SESI/SENAI, the students in Minas Gerias, we write here to express our deepest sympathy to Ashley and her family as they face this terrible loss. Ashley has been a wonderful contributor and is loved by her students. She has requested time and privacy to grieve together with her family. We are posting this request here. In difficult times, we need each other. Thank you to our partners of SENAI/SESI of Brasilia and Belo Horizonte for your support that made it possible for Ashley to return immediately to the U.S. Thank the coaches and leaders of the team in Belo Horizonte for your work to support Ashley and each other.
