Beloved Past President of the DWCF, Inc, 2007-2009,Janie Holman has passed away. Janie Holman was born in Commerce, Georgia. She was married to Stanly Holman and together they had 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. They moved to Orlando, Florida in 1957 and then to Cocoa in 1959 where Stanley worked as a Chemist for Kennedy Space Center. Her beloved Stanley passed away in 1998. As an activist, Janie not only worked on several campaigns but also was a precinct walker, phone banker, sign waver and Deputy Voter Registrar. Janie was an educator in the Brevard County School system from 1996 – 2000. She received numerous awards and honors during her career including “Key to the City of Cocoa” and “Outstanding Service to Brevard County Schools” in 2000. .
