Below is a TRUE story about the POLITICS when it comes to Obamacare--as it faces off with REALITY.......and this is one story that is very close to me.....Last week, I was talking to my brother Jeff on the phone....we have a rather close relationship compared to many brother/sister relationships that I am familiar with--so we both are brutally honest with each other, when necessary..... Jeff has not been feeling well enough to work since January--and of course, some know that after responding to Hurricane Sandy, he ended up in the hospital with pneumonia for a few days or so-----JEFF is a LIBERTARIAN, and has been for years and years---totally against Obamacare and the takeover of America with programs such as this--he refuses even to go the Food Stamp route, even though he has not been well enough to work so far this year---- Today, Jeff is in the hospital--again.....last week, over the phone, he told me he was not feeling good enough to go back to work, seemed to be going blind, too, had run out of money, and needed me to send him some--ha! So I suggested he sign up for Obamacare!!!! and go to the doctor!!!! I looked up the location--the hospital in Grosse Point, close to where he lives---and learned THAT HOSPITL has a sign up office as part of the Obamacare porgram--I told him to go there and sign up, adding a few cuss words along the way, and a threat that he would get no money from me, UNTIL he signed up---this is a life or death matter--and he needed to choose life if he wanted to be around for a while. DESPITE his definite denial as to the worthiness of Obamacare! At the end of the phone call--my brother decided he needed to go to the hospital and sign up--but when he went outside--he discovered his car had been stolen---and this is in Grosse Point!!!!!!! SO--he WALKED to the hospital--about 2 miles. When he got there--they discovered that he had had, a TOTAL of 8 heart attacks since he was last in the hospital...that there was something going on in his brain that was preventing his eyesight in the good eye..he has always been blind in one eye ever since he was a kid......His heart is working at 20%--REPEAT----20%--and the doctors and nurses are amazed at his stamina--because he WALKED there--and should not have been able to ARRIVE there alive!!!! It was freezing outside too last week as we all know...... The hospital helped him sign up for the Obamacare--admitted him to the hospital---have been running tests--feeding him well---and so far we have learned that he will need surgery on his heart--perhaps a pacemaker installed, that the brain issue and blindness is probably connected to the heart not working at full strength---they put him in the heart wing of thehospital--and this morning before we talked--already had seen THREE doctors--specialists in their field---and he is STILL ALIVE!!!! HERE is the bottom line of TRUTH! Politcally, Jeff has been a Libertarian for years and years--having read some of the newsletters back in the 1980s scared the crap out of me then----so he stopped allowing me to read them--ha! BUT--when REALITY steps in, as it has with him----and the choice is either you sign up for it or you DIE---Jeff is choosing to LIVE!!! If Rand Paul, or Boehner, or even Fred Upton reads this-------ideology only goes so far-----if the intent is to cull the herd of people --then going against Obamacare is the ticket to eliminate population,,,,,,,but when it is YOUR life, or your FAMILY-----the truth is that PEOPLE with a brain, will choose Obamacare over ideology!
