Below is a Youtube video by Stefan Molyyneux on poverty and the causes of poverty. I have agreed with Molyneux in the past on some of his ideas. This one, not entirely, especially where he ends up saying the poor are victims of just bad attitudes. Ive been there, done that. And I do believe that if he asked some oldsters - who are completely honest in their opinions - as they have been through life - they wont get that pie in the sky (politically correct) spiel. Maybe the wealthy will agree with him (despite the skeletons in their closets): but not your common, average retirie. The boot straps theory has many holes. I have known people that have tried to climb out of their morass, time and again, and were blocked by multiple obstacles despite their battle and desparation. He acts like it is a magic wand that will work for everyone. What do yhou say?
