Benedict Cumberbatch is superb in The Imitation Game ably supported by Keira Knightley and the rest of the cast in an exciting and desperately sad telling of the story of Alan Turing and cracking the Enigma code... Though its as much about Turing terrible treatment due to the fact he was gay at a time when it was illegal as it is his work at Bletchley. The direction and script manage to take what could easily have been a very dry and dull subject and make it both thrilling and emotionally engaging. Could be some gongs winging their way in awards season. I enjoyed the music by Alexandre Desplat which had a touch of the Bonds about it.
