Benefit bake sale for Kevin and Linda Eshom Linda and Kevin Eshom are in need of prayers and financial help. In May of 2013, Kevin was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. Recently, Kevin headed to the emergency room for stomach and back pain. The scan showed lesions on his liver. A follow-up scan was recommended by his oncologist. The cancer had blown up and was now back in the lungs, liver and lymph notes. Kevin was admitted to the hospital for five days in September because of uncontrolled nausea/vomiting and it was then that they found the cancer had spread to his brain. Kevin did 10 days of radiation on his brain to help ease the symptoms of nausea, then he returned home to go on hospice. The chemo is no longer working and the couple is out of other options. Linda has limited paid time off. She needs to be with her husband. Residents can help them by providing gifts of money so that Linda can stay home and spend this most precious time with Kevin. She is able to have FMLA from work, but she needs funds to pay her much needed insurance that helps pay for his care and for living expenses.
