Benjamin Oakley is the son of two friends of mine ;Caroline Oakley and Michael Oakley. He has stiff persons syndrome; a terrible condition endured by only 500 other people upon the earth. I met Caroline and Michael by accident in 2010 at a time of great need.Despite not knowing me at all Michael helped my family above and beyond with an astounding generosity of time and spirit and he was more than happy with a just a smile and a thank you. When he introduced me to Caroline I knew Id found a kindred spirit and she was there for me when others walked away . When I met Ben the first thing I noticed was how his spirit shone ;a truly extraordinary person so I was moved beyond words when out of the blue he was struck down by such suffering for which there is no cure. Ben and his Dad are setting up a charity and its called Drop a Dollar, for rare diseases. If you can help I urge you to do so.
