Benue: Gov Is On Top Of Security Situation, Says Dep. Gov - Guardian DEPUTY Governor, Benue State, Steven Lawani has sought for positive collaboration from the media on the reportage of security issues in the state; stressing that government on its part is bent on ensuring the security of lives and property of the people irrespective of tribe, political or religious affiliations. Lawani who made the appeal Friday during a briefing with journalists at Government House, Makurdi further dispelled fears of insecurity as created by some sections of the media in the State. He said security agencies are fully mobilized by government to protect the citizens. “Information in some sections of the media that the State is insecure, gives a wrong picture of the security situation in the State. Everything is going on well even the incident in Ukum LGA has been brought under control. Benue remains peaceful land and I urge the people to go about their normal businesses. There is no need to panic”‘, Lawani assured.
