Berlin Raceway to change its ways with photography Marne, MI – Berlin Raceway is pleased to announce “Open Photography” for the 2014 season and beyond. While Berlin Raceway has had an official track photographer in the past, efforts must be made to expand exposure of the track. Therefore, the decision was made to expand the opportunity to photograph to any parties interested, instead of designating and limiting to a single photographer. “Limiting the photography rights to one entity really limits the track and the amount of publicity and exposure that it gets,” commented Mike Burlsey, Berlin Raceway General Manager. “Allowing more photographers to take pictures and be at our events is going help the track’s media coverage while reaching out to a variety of different people.” Photographers interested in capturing images at Berlin Raceway must apply for a photographer license. There will be a season-long license available as well as single-event licenses. Those with a license will also have the ability to sell their photos on site. Media credentials will also be issued to local media outlets. There will also be a couple of freelance positions available at the Raceway to fulfill event promotional needs; applications for the freelance positions are now being accepted. Details on photographer licenses will be available as the season nears; applications will be available for download on berlinraceway. Stay tuned to the website and social media outlets for more exciting news regarding to the 2014 season.
