Best Chattacon in YEARS! Lani Brooks is doing a bang up job bringing the costume community back into the fold. Both of our Costuming Panels were well attended and people seemed to enjoy them... even if we were plagued by the never ending technical difficulties in the first one. *shrug* No biggy. DragonCon and ConNooga had the same problems, so it wasnt the first time we just started tap dancing. The Masquerade Ball was a HUGE success! We had TWENTY FOUR contestants! I think people mostly liked the No Forms, No hiding in the back room, No Hassle, just show up and talk to us concept. Yes, there were some of the normal Were trying something new issues and I think with a little tweaking here and there, this could be really big. The ability to come and go, mingle with people, pose for pics, etc. was GREAT! Chris is already champing at the bit to do a Costuming with a 3D printer presentation. I was really wishing that we had brought some of Jeffs vacuformed / heat shaped plastic pieces to show. I cant wait to try the Worbla that Leah talked about. It sounds awesome and Im always keen to try new things. Over all - GOOD JOB!
