Best selling authors have promised to donate books to school libraries affected by the typhoon Yolanda. #Repost from ABS-CBN news: “Tuesdays with Morrie” author Mitch Albom, who is in the country to hold book signings and to visit typhoon-hit Tacloban, made the announcement on the microblogging site Twitter. He said some of the writers who have promised to donate copies of their books to Tacloban include J. K. Rowling (“Harry Potter” series), Nicholas Sparks (“The Notebook”), John Green (“The Fault in Our Stars”), John Grisham (“A Time to Kill”), Stephen Chbosky (“The Perks of Being a Wallflower”), James Patterson (“Alex Cross”), Jeff Kinney (“Diary of a Wimpy Kid”), (“Sophie Kinsella (“Shopaholic” series), Suzanne Collins (“The Hunger Games”), Maggie Stiefvater (“Books of Faerie”), Amy Tan (“The Joy Luck Club”), Dave Barry (“Insane City”), Roy Blount Jr. (“Alphabet Juice”), Greg Iles (“The Quiet Game”), Ridley Pearson (“The Red Room”), Scott Turrow (“Identical”), James McBride (“Good Lord Bird”) and RJ Palacio (“Wonder”). On Monday, Albom graced the opening of the Pawing Elementary School Library in Tacloban.
