Best way to spend a hot summer Sunday? Grabbed Subway sandwiches after church and took a drive up the Pacific Coast Hwy. Found a pretty turn-off south of Big Sur to eat lunch - great ocean view and Calif. Condors soaring overhead! On the way home, stopped at San Simeon/Hearst Castle to watch a whale feeding frenzy in the cove!! (Probably 30 or so whales!) Also saw the Hearst zebras, & the Tule elk herd north of Piedras Blancas lighthouse. Pretty spectacular day! I love where we live!
