Best wishes to Cassidys all over the world. I hope that our Clann will continue to expand and grow through FB and other social media sites. I look forward to our next Clann gathering in Fermanagh where, hopefully, I will have an opportunity to meet with the descendants of brave people who for whatever reason threw caution to the wind and travelled to foreign countries. I feel sure that those people who “come home” will have a wonderful adventure. You will really see your roots when you walk in the footsteps of your fore fathers. I would like to pause and try to imagine the pain felt by Irish mothers as they children boarded emigrant knowing that many of them would never ever return.
