Met vriendelijke groet, Victoria Nyst Universiteit Leiden 43th Colloquium on African Languages and Linguistics 26-28 August 2013 We are pleased to invite you to the 43th Colloquium on African Languages and Linguistics (CALL 2013), to be held in Leiden on 26, 27 and 28 August, from Monday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Special session on African sign languages This year, the CALL will host a session dedicated to African sign languages. This session will be accessible in English and International Sign. Presentations include: Mariana Martini & Marta Delgado : Guinea Bissau: The birth of a sign language Tano Angoua Jean-Jacques: The expression of time in Bouakako Sign Language (Ivory Coast) Victoria Nyst : Similarities in West African sign languages and their gestural substrates Date: August 28, 2013 Time: 11-13 hrs.
