Beth Bradley-Johnson, I appreciate you tagging me in the post you were sharing from Melinda Zalesky. I am not friends with Melinda, but I do have a suggestion for her. I suggest she condense her post regarding the 10yo pony gelding,Quicksilver Ace of Spades, whom she raised until the age of 7 and who wound up with a pony broker 3 years ago. I further suggest that she states the pony is now unsound and unfit for any use and needs vet evaluation. In my opinion, since the owner of record is willing to sell him for $1,000 (nothing less), and transport fees will be involved, that she set up a PayPal account and proceed with fundraising to bring him safely to her home where he will receive vet care and retraining. I would CAUTION Melinda against making any negative remarks against the new owner if she expects her to cooperate in selling her back the pony. She will only anger and alienate her into not selling him to her. If I were Melinda, I would then post the urgency of the situation in as many pony groups as possible and to her friends. I do NOT permit fundraising from the group, but if she were to also make the post public, I would be more than happy to share it. I wish Melinda and her unfortunate pony a speedy reunion.
