Beware! The Ogre… again! A fortnight ago… while skipping silly programs on Arabian TV… I stopped to verify the identity of a commentator whose exuberance rivaled Ryad Kassem’s commonplace, and plebean theatricality! I soon discovered he was a former Jordanian minister of information, vilifying Iran (as usual!)… his eyes bulging with anger… exposing his newly discovered theory… that the rift in the Arab camp was not based on religious grounds…that it wasn’t, as some would have us believe, a Sunni- Shiite “fitna”, but something much more dangerous that! It was, according to the bright former Jordanian minister of information, Iran’s set conspiracy to swallow up the Arab world!! Starting by the formation of a dangerous Iranian influenced alliance… north of Jordan…engulfing Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon; stretching Persian hegemony to the Mediterranean! North of Jordan! We all know who created Jordan…and why! Now what could possibly be more destructive to the Arab world than such an alliance!? It seemed to former minister a self convincing fact that needed neither proof… nor verification!! It makes one wonder… whether such self proclaimed pundits ever record what they say, to hear it in private, and realize the utter stupid prejudice of their impromptu declarations! To begin with…Iran is a Muslim country that was the first to replace the Israeli embassy in Teheran by a Palestinian one! Meantime; the minister’s camp of surrender…today hosts Israeli embassies in the heart of their capitals… against the wishes of the majority of their population!! Second… Iran is the only Muslim country that openly vows to regain Jerusalem for the Muslim world; when others wouldn’t even mention the holy city or its Mosque! The only Muslim country with military credibility to intimidate Israel…and a country whose leaders do not live in palaces… usurp and steal the wealth of their nations, and have never wavered from their patriotic stances of supporting Arab and Muslim causes! (What could be more shameful than that?!) Third… The Resistance Front that Iran established includes Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon… countries that have not signed dishonorable peace treaties with Israel… thus; abandoning Jerusalem to the enemy, and surrendering the fate of the Palestinians to Israel! For better or worse, these nations still uphold the Arab cause, maintaining the last glitter of decency in bleeding patriotic hearts! Where do the rest of the Arab nations stand in this regard?! Whether it is in compliance with US orders, or bowing to pragmatism…the minister’s camp has reduced itself to a political nonentity in Arab geopolitics…! Stooping to Israeli hegemony over the Arab world…they are content with shear survival as puppet rulers…! If Arabians find no other way to face the enemy than to bow to him… what shameful impudence allows this ex-minister to question the right of other Arab countries to seek help from a neighboring Muslim state in standing up facing the enemy?! What vicious hatred towards Iran devours his innards!? What insolence allows him to claim that surrender is more worthy than carrying on the battle with the arch enemy of Arabs and Muslims!? If the rest of the Arabs chose to put down their arms … if they “cannot”… or “will not”… or are “prohibited” from opposing a Unite States’ pampered ally… why are they so irked and upset to see other Muslim countries form a Resistance Front in partnership with a Muslim neighbor?! That is…unless they are ordered to attack it… at the cost of revealing their ignorance and blind bias and bigotry!! The attested aim of Arab-Iranian alliance is to build a viable resistance front… maintaining hope in the hearts of those who believe there still is some decency among patriotic Arabs! What does the former minister’s camp offer to counter what he considers a blasphemous plan?! He riles… and screams… against possible future Iranian influence north of Jordan!! Doesn’t he realize that his camp is drowned in the quagmire of US-Israeli influence?! That it is part and parcel of US-Israeli geopolitical map!! Is he that brainwashed as not to realize that US-Israeli dominance prescribes his camp’s every move or attitude?! That without western financial support his country wouldn’t survive!! Is US-Israeli hegemony over his Arabian camp more honorable than an alliance with a neighboring Muslim country…whether it is Iranian, Pakistani, or Indonesian!? Arabia’s peace-treaty camp has been receiving successive humiliating rebuffs from Israel against every olive branch offered to it…! If Arabians are too weak, or too cowardly, or simply too impotent to simply attempt a resistance facade against Israel… wouldn’t it have been more candid for them to tuck their tail between their hind legs …and run…!! Instead of barking at patriotic Arabs and Muslims who yearn for maintaining hope! Who still dream of regaining Jerusalem!! I have often repeated that we were continuously tricked into fighting loosing battles with Israel! However; that was in the past… when our forces were willfully and systematically kept below the enemy’s striking level! Today; Hizboullah proved its military worth in battle… and Iran is valiantly breaking colonial bonds that impeded it from attaining its rightful place among world powers! These are our two main partners in the resistance front! How can we hope for better and more worthy allies?! As for their political dominance…Did it diminish Muslim victory over the Crusaders that Arab armies were led and “ruled” by Mamloucks?!! Was it a Palestinian who led Arab armies in chasing the Crusaders from Jerusalem… or a Muslim Kurd from Takrit?! Would our Jordanian ex-minister have objected to his leadership!? Did Europe object to the formation of the Atlantic Alliance under US military leadership when Europe was facing the USSR?! Or does the European Union today object to US continuous influence in the Continent?! Nothing could be more treacherous and vile than pointing out Iran as an Ogre… pretending that it plans to dominate the Arab world… while those who are protesting abandon Palestine… and shamefully bask in the security of US-Israeli hegemony! Arabia’s camp of surrender would stop at nothing from eradicating every will of resistance among those who refuse to surrender to US-Israeli command! Simply, because maintaining the will to resist exposes their treason and cowardice!! Is it any wonder why they keep pounding blows on Syria… rejoicing at the devastation they are provoking…?! It must be scary for Arabia’s camp to be forced to see its ugly corrupt face in the mirror! They must have banned all mirrors in their political camps!
