This one medium that can make a talentless act become a mega star, this medium that galvanized a people to topple its government, social media that got a hashtag to trend globally from the mind of a lady activist to a plaque card held by the first lady of the world. Typical of most forms of power, theres the likelihood of the negative side. This social media that took Chigurl from a nobody to a house hold name in 4days, was the same media that wont let twins fight and hug in peace. Yes, it would spread your music fast but has been know to dissolve marriages faster. Do you think Wande ever really recovered from the birthday suit twitter episode that trended globally to a point where Pdidi twitted who da f*** is Wande Coal and what does he do? See how wide spread that false video of an occurrence in Chad over 3years ago has whipped up the kind emotion that can ignite a war. I beg that we recognize the power of the social media cause its like fire. Controlled it would cook for you but out of control it would burn your house to the ground. That video reawaked my senses to a fresh consciousness to using it with a sense of responsibility. What ever you choose to do with it, be it making fun of the head of Banky W / Stomach of Sunny mac don W or spreading news on current affairs, please think of the far reaching impact on others and be sensitive to this medium in your hands....
