Beyene suspended for four months, by Alfons Juck, EME News NEW YORK (USA): The USA Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) announced last week that distance runner Hirut Beyene Guangul ommitted an anti-doping rule violation, was suspended for four months, and some of her results have been nullified. The sanction came from the American Arbitration Association North American Court of Arbitration for Sport. Beyene, 21, who is originally from Ethiopia and has been living and training in New York City, provided a urine sample after participating in the Dicks Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon on May 5, 2013. Her sample resulted in an adverse analytical finding for the stimulant Methylhexaneamine. Informs Race Results Weekly.
