Beyoncé is a great antidote to the plentitude the womens disempowering songs and videos in the contemporary pop culture nowadays. She does not promote victimology doctrine. Instead she promotes a healthy instinct, having yourself (and your pleasure as a woman) as a number one priority, choosing all that feels good, liberating women from the narrow-minded and restricting ways society expects them to confirm to, having great amounts of fun wherever you are, being grateful for all you have, staying true to yourself (fully knowing you can be misunderstood or even judged in the wrong), having a strong mother-daughter bond (that is passed down generation after generation), accepting all of yourself at all times (and having the guts not to take yourself too seriously), and last but not least: she walks her talk, without being afraid to show her vulnerable side as well. Whenever someone starts attacking this power woman, I defend her tooth and nail, saber-tooth tiger style. Powerful, feminine women still walk a very lonely path and have to deal with loads of lies being told behind their backs, no matter if theyve already got millions of admirers to support them. ♏♌
