Bible Verse of the Day December 29, 2014 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” – Genesis 3:15 (NIV) Today’s commentary The connection between a woman’s offspring and a child being born of a virgin cannot escape us. Genesis reveals a battle between this offspring of a woman and Satan that would be fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Though Christ was struck in the heel at Calvary, he crushed the head of the power of sin and death at the resurrection. The babe in the manger was born to conquer his ancient adversary. Now Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God the Father, extending his victory to all who will believe in the power his resurrection. Thanks be to God!
