Big John, photos taken two weeks apart. The Levy County Shelter - TopicsExpress

Big John, photos taken two weeks apart. The Levy County Shelter called us for help with this puppy, who was found in the middle of the road covered in blood. At first, he looked like he had been hit by a car. However, volunteer rushed him to our partnering vet clinic, West End Animal Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a severe case of mange. The blood was from his horrible skin condition. He was hospitalized at the vet clinic, and underwent surgery to fix severe hip dysplasia - a birth defect. Complications from his operation required around the clock care and monitoring at West End. When he was finally ready to go to a foster home, one of our previous adopters came to meet him. Their dog, Diamond, is a gorgeous pit bull who wants a little friend, and they hit it off! Big John is now fostered with the hope of being adopted by Diamonds family. They sent us the second photo of Big John in a shopping cart at Petsmart where they took him shopping for a bed, toys, and treats to welcome him home.
