Big Money Generating American Manufacturing Still Has Us Number - TopicsExpress

Big Money Generating American Manufacturing Still Has Us Number One. There are posters that I have seen recently and commentators on Fox News who keep on saying that China is rapidly becoming number one in Manufacturing, but that is not the case. They produce a lot of crap that is not up to our standards, and they do not produce as many Big Ticket Items as the United States does. Consider two American companies that are posting earnings today. Boeing.---- They are still growing. Even though Obama has cut back Defense Spending (Which greatly angers the hell out of the Military Industrial Complex) The World Famous aircraft manufacturer should post a strong third quarter. Its stock hit a record high earlier in October after Boeing announced soaring demand for its commercial airplanes. Its main competition is Air Bus in Europe, and they have a bad reputation of producing planes that fall out of the sky in midflight which is very disconcerting to the families of the passengers. I will not fly in Air Bus, partially because I support Boeing, and partially because I do not trust Air Bus at all. Caterpillar.---- They are beginning to show weakness. Caterpillar is expected to post a fourth consecutive quarterly drop in profit due to weak demand for its machinery and engine products. We need to correct that as a nation and as a nation of farmers and road builders. Are we buying American? There are international trade treaties that prohibit us from slapping tariffs on Chinese copies of Caterpillar products, but as far as I know, States can still subsidize companies. Are we doing this?
