Big News at OMI: OnMessage Inc. adds top polling talent Kayla Sulzer ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Top Republican opinion research firm OnMessage Inc. has added more horsepower to its team. Partner Wes Anderson has announced that Kayla Sulzer has joined the company’s polling division after a stint as Polling Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee. “Kayla is one of the brightest young talents in the polling business and we are very fortunate to have her join us at OMI,” said Anderson, who runs the OMI polling division from the company’s Annapolis, Maryland offices. “Opinion research is a dynamic science and Kayla has spent a great deal of time at the NRCC comparing best practices across the industry. She will bring a great skill set to our firm,” said Anderson, who started his own polling career as the Polling Director of a national party committee under Haley Barbour in the 1990s. Prior to Sulzer’s stint as Polling Director, she served as Deputy Polling Director and as a data analyst after the 2010 census. “Kayla has a more granular grasp of the population trends in swing districts than just about anyone working in politics and that will pay huge dividends for our clients,” Anderson said. For her part, Sulzer, a 25-year-old native of St. Louis, said the move to OnMessage Inc. was a natural fit. “OMI has been an integral part of the NRCC’s effort to take control of Congress and keep control. As I worked with the polling team there, I came to appreciate how great a job they do at getting the measurement right and then translating that data into actionable campaign strategy,” Sulzer said. “OnMessage has been more successful than just about any other firm the last few years, and I look forward to helping our clients keep that success rolling.” OnMessage Inc. is based in Alexandria, Virginia with partners in Annapolis and Baton Rouge as well, offering polling, television and digital strategies under the same roof. OMI helped win some of the country’s toughest elections including Ron Johnson’s upset Wisconsin Senate win in 2010, Bobby Jindal’s historic election as Governor of Louisiana, and Rick Scott’s 51-point comeback win as Governor of Florida. The firm represents two dozen members of Congress and is the only media agency to defeat a House Democrat incumbent each of the last three election cycles.
