Big day tomorrow, Team Spirit is released onto the shelves. This is the first book of the new Tillys series. Having completed 18 books I thought my head had run dry of new ideas, but I felt very sad because I kept on thinking Oh no Tilly cant just disappear, in my head she, Magic Spirit and her friends were very much alive. So when Fiona Kennedy from Orion asked if I would be interested in doing some more books, though frantically busy I agreed to the chance of Tilly living on. The next four books, two already completed, two more to write, are based around Tilly and her partnership with Magic Spirit. Tilly is a couple of years older so there is more detail to the equestrian side, hopefully giving readers an insight into what I have learnt and what has worked for me over the years. My main aim with these books, though fiction, is for the young readers to feel they can follow there ambitions and reach their goals but it wont be handed to them on a plate, they will have to work at it. Now with my horsey hat on!!! Badminton boys felt great galloping yesterday. Thanks to a very accommodating Ann Allen, secretary of Withington Horse Trials, she has got me in to the advanced this weekend. Having had a good amount of rain I am hoping to give them their last run. Fingers crossed. Pipx
