Big thanks to Shawna from Pet Coach to the Rescue, LLC for coming out to meet Sam today. Sometimes my heart overwhelms my brain when evaluating a dog, so it is good to get a second opinion. We are in total agreement that Sam is a goofy, playful, somewhat immature guy with the potential to be a really amazing companion. But, Sam is never going to realize that potential without a person who is willing to work with him. He desperately needs a foster home where he can get lots of exercise, and some structure, as well as love and play. We also agree that he needs a home without cats, small dogs or small kids. This is as much for his protection as theirs. Sam needs a little time to learn impulse control, and to reign in his enthusiasm.
