Bill #573, introduced Dec. 8, changes the current law — which offers no such guarantee — to ensure the horses are not sold to slaughter. Friends of Animals has already secured space at the largest farm animal sanctuary in America for the first 100 horses and is ready to negotiate with owners when the time comes to sell their animals.
