Biography of Senator iyiola Omisore. Senator Iyiola Omisore ( Ph.D, C.Eng, FCIBSE, FIEE, F.I.Mech.E, F.A Cost.E, R.Eng, COREN, FNSE.)Distinguished Senator Iyiola Omisore was born on the 15th day of the monthof September, 1957. He is a native of Ile - Ife, the cradle of Yoruba race, Osun State.Senator Iyiola Omisore attended St. Johns Grammar School, Ile - Ife between 1972 - 1976. He attended the Ondo State Polyte)chnic, Owo, Ondo State , 1976 - 1980 and proceeded to Full Technology College, Reading at theUnited Kingdom where he obtained a Diploma Certificate in Electrical/­Electronics Enginering in the year 1983. In pursuit of his Higher Educational career, Senator Iyiola Omisore bagged his Bachelor of Engineering Degree in FTC Power and Machines, from Brunnel University, Uxbridge.He later did his Postgraduated Certificate in Building Service and Engineering Management and Masters of Science Degree in Building Service respectively from Brunnel University Uxbridge, United Kingdom .Not only that, He also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Infrastructure Finance & Public-PrivatePartne­rship from Internatiional School of Management, Paris, France. At the moment, he is undergoing his DBA Programmes at the International School of Management in Paris, France.Senator Iyiola Omisore has not only distinguished himself in the field of politics, he has also carved a niche for himself in the field of engineering. This is evident from resounding success he has recorded in his career.Senator Iyiola Omisore started his engineering career as Project Engineer with Drake Gordharm UK Plc from 1983-1985. He was seconded to Nigeriaas Project Manager of Drake & Scull Nig. Ltd bewteen 1985-1987 wherein he managed all the Airfield including Makurdi Air force base, Sokoto and Taraku Rice Mills.As a General manager (1989-1998) of Drake & Scull, Senator Iyiola Omisore handled the following projects: • Federal Mortgage Bank Headquarters • Bank of the North Headquarters • Onitsha flour Mills • Eternit Sapele • World Bank assisted Health Projects for Plateau, Benue and Nassarawa Podium Secretariat, Port-Harcourt Immiringi Rural ElectrificationSenat­or Iyiola Omisore is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Chrisore Engineering Plc which is involved with the underlisted projects; Central Bank Government and Deputy Governors residence; Afrikbank headquarters; EIB headquarters; UACNAbuja Complex and UBN Stallion House.As a Principal partner of MECHELEC consultants, African Development Bank, World bank, IFC/IMF/IBRD financed projects were executed in Enugu, Kaduna, Niger, Sokoto, Bauhi, Kwara and Ondo States.At the country level, distinguished Senator Iyiola Omisore has immenselyimpacted on the lives of so many communities. He emerged as theDeputy Governor of Osun State in 1999. Senator Iyiola Omisore was re-elect as a Senator in 2007. As a ranking Senator, Otunba Iyiola Omisore was Chairman/­Member of these committees; bIndustriea, Cultureand Tourism, Federal Character & Inter-governmental Affairs, Navy and Communications.Senator Omisore was the Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriations and Chairman, UND/PINASS Support Implementation Committee.Senator Omisore, a Chartered Engineer, is a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Building service Engineers, Association of Cost Engineers, Nigeria Institute of Mechanical Engineers and Nigerian Society of Engineers.
