Bismillah, As salaamu alaykum wa raHmatullahi wa barakaatuhu yaa ikhwaani fillah Subhanallah it has nearly been three years this ramaDaan that my husband and teacher and fellow Muslim brother Abu Taubah was arrested, taken from our family home. And this case seems to drag on even after finding him guilty in this crooked court. The goal of these people is to drag it out until the Muslim people begin not to care. Until we forget about the issue at hand. But what they will never begin to understand is that our love for our creator and our gratefulness to Him keeps us remembering and loving our brothers and sisters in Islam. We take serious ayah 92 in suratul anbiyyah إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ أُمَّتُكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَأَنَا رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُونِ VERILY, [O you who believe in Me,] this communIty of yours is one single community, since I am the Sustainer of you all: worship, then, Me [alone]! And alHamdulillah we have felt the love and caring over these years. From duah, to letters to us , to financial help, to encouragement and reminders. And we thank you all. Every one of you. Of we thank Allah for the opportunity he has given us to get closer to him during this situation. And the opportunity for us to step back and take a good look at ourselves with a fine tooth comb. I come to you again and I feel ashamed to come. I feel embarrassed to ask again and again year after year. I especially feel bad because I know that there are families who face worse and have endured longer and harder. But I do want to ask for financial help. Specifically because the sentencing is coming up this ramaDaan in July. And they want to sentence him as a terrorist. They want him to have to come to court and prove that he was not a terrorist. The judge has given him a day to prove it. Even though normally in a court process the proof is on the accuser. The laws are different for us. So what I am asking you all is to help bring over the witnesses we need to come and testify. There are a couple of students in Mauritania we need to fly back here to prove that they have been studying the book of Allah. Nothing more. We need to be able to pay for a legal expert to come and testify. In essence we need about $5000 in the next few days. There is a hadith in saHiH Muslim that is translated as: Whoever relieves a calamity that has struck a believer in this world, Allah will relieve for him one of the calamities of the day of Judgement, and whoever makes things easy for a person in trouble, Allah will make his matters easy in this life and in the hereafter, and whoever shields the faults of a Muslim, Allah will shield his faults in this world and the hereafter, and Allah will help and support his servant as long as he is helping and supporting his brother (Sahih Muslim) Yes I do understand that RamaDaan is coming and you all need to save money for food, some for ‘Umrah, some for new clothes for eid. May Allah grant you all these things and more. And may He grant my husband and our family forgiveness and the things we need and more. Ameen. For those of you who can and are willing you can find how to send it at thefiks.org inshaaAllah. Also I am asking ikhwaan and akhawaat that you each share this as much as possible. JazakumAllahu khayran ummtaubah
