Bismillah.. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious. Today - TopicsExpress

Bismillah.. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious. Today marks the completion of my placement in Surgical Posting. Its been such a wonderful journey for the past four month. Being in General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Hepatobiliary, Plastic Surgery and Urosurgery, had given me a lot of new experiences and things to learn from. Friendly bosses, helpful colleagues; those are the things which will stay in mind as the journey continues. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Surgical department of Sarawak General Hospital for their assistance and teachings throughout the posting; and to all of you; brothers and sisters; my sahabahs, for your continuous support and duas for me. May Allah overwhelms each and everyone of us with His blessings, insyaAllah. One of the memories that i would not forget,(a memorable one, that is), was when during one of my oncalls in the General Surgery, we had to clear one of the cubicles in the female surgical ward to receive some medical patients as there were a lot of stranded medical patients who was not that stable in the A&E department. After some discussions, the Team Leader agreed to receive stable medical patients from the male medical ward in the surgical ward, so that the stranded patient can be taken into the medical ward. When i was passing by the cubicle, one of the medical patient smiled at me, raising his hand. Being a habit, i moved near him, ready to shook his hand as a good gesture. As i was shooking his hand, suddenly he said Pak Imam. I was shocked, thinking that there was someone behind of me. I turned my head to the side to see who the Pak Imam was. No one was there. Then i looked at the patient again. He was smiling and told his wife this; dolok waktu abang pegi solat maghrib dekat surau, doktor tok la jadi pak imam.Panjang juak surah nya baca, kitak baca surah ney haritu Pak Imam?(translation: when i went for my maghrib prayer in the surau/musolla the other day, this doctor was the one who was leading the prayer. The surah he recited was quite lengthy; from which verse were you reciting Pak Imam?) I was only able to smile at him, and said slowly; sikit-sikit jak pakcik, dari surah Toha dengan surah Ar-Rahman jak.(translation: i was reciting some of the verse from the surah Toha and Ar-Rahman, uncle) *Surah Toha, verse 1-20, and surah Ar-Rahman, verse 1-34 has always been my favourite choice of surah during the subuh, maghrib and isyak prayer* i then wished him well, and moved on to go for my scope room duty post-call. That would be one of the most memorable conversation with a patient throughout this career, i believe. I remembered having a conversation with a Medical Assistant from Mukah when I was attending the Public Health Seminar: Unity in Diversity in UNIMAS about 2 weeks back. He told me about the the existence of about 11 KKs(Klinik Kesihatan @ Health Clinics) in Mukah, but only 2 Medical Officers(MOs) are available in the district. This actually reflects how much the community is in need for Medical Officers who are willing to serve the nation, even at its rural areas. For those who are still trying to make up their mind, hesitate not. Come, and lets serve our citizens here in Sarawak. Semenanjung; Sarawak; Sabah; it doesnt really matter where the posting will be, as we are one, and we shall work together in ensuring the realization of the One Nation that weve been dreaming about. And tomorrow, Ill be starting my posting in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department. Day 1 of 3rd postings and ill be starting my day with night tag.May Allah ease and lend me the strength that i need to strive through this tough placement. Do make duas for me, sahabahs. Allahumma la sahla illa ma jaal tahu sahla. Wa anta taj alul hasna iza shita sahla. Ya Allah, You made ease of things which are easy, And You made easy of the hard things when You wishes to. Do make it easy for me in facing this new challenges of serving in the O&G department Ya Allah. Lend me the strength and knowledge for me to serve well for those who are in need, Ya Rabbul Jalil. Hasbunallahi wa nimal wakil. Niman maula wa nimannasir.
