Bit of a dark one. So I was watching a documentary on the interrogation of prisoners which in some cases was deemed to be wrongful and some standard operating procedure for the forces involved. One case was that a suspect was blindfolded and made to stand in a stress position with wires wrapped around his fingers. He was told that if he fell, he would be electrocuted. However, the wires werent connected to anything at all. He managed to stand there for long enough to satisfy the interrogators and didnt fall before the wires were removed. One of the interviewees said it was a sad situation, but that it would have been meaner if the wires were actually attached to electricity. Do you think so?
