Bittersweet moment right now. About a year ago, as the first Christmas without my beautiful wife approached, our church choir was preparing to participate in the Dover AFB Christmas Cantata, something Kat ( Kathy Goguen) and I had been part of for the past 5 years. In some ways I was dreading that Sunday night and the milestone it represented, as one of the many 1st event without Kat. As it turned out it became a non-milestone, as the Cantata was cancelled due to a visit by Mother Nature. This year the Cantata is set to go on this evening, and I wont be there, at least physically. DAFB Catholic Choir, know that I am there with you in spirit. If you listen closely, every misplayed chord and poorly stroked strum will be mine. I have been practicing Alan Jacksons Let It Be Christmas and will play it tonight whenever I get home from San Antonio. Knock em dead, guys. Miss you all.
