He descends from the traditional family of musicians and performers of classical Indian music (Dhrupad, Khyal, Bhajan,Mantras,Gazal e.t.c), backed by 13 generations of musical tradition. Mallick’s family is well-known in India, Bittus grandfather Mr. Pandit Vidur Mallick was one of the most known Dhrupad performers in India and was also performing in the large concert-halls of Europe.
