This is vast expanse of a wetland and home to variety of birds, resident as well as migratory. Going bird watching in those flat bottomed boats was a wonderful experience. As we left the shore, gulls were our companions, at least for a distance. They are used to humans and constantly chase the boats as visitors toss them some snacks. Always an opportunistic feeder, no gull would ever pass on such an easy treat.” The Black headed Gulls are wide spread winter visitors and passage migrants.
