Black Gold & Texas Tea Weekly Review Well here we are on a Friday evening and yes what a morning we had. I just stopped counting when we were somewhere between 50 and 60 of the gang who showed up the Coffee and Tea and Dunking biscuits were going down with vigor, it sure was good to Oriette back from her battle of the Virus which is making the rounds and kicking a lot of people in the Gluteus Maximus for over a month at a time. Yes Linda is still weak from her bout and is sleeping a lot to regain her strength. Well Fred Goodall was busy collecting more names and money for the Booster Club $25.00 for 25 weeks with a weekly prize of $100.00. A reminder the monthly General Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of each Month. Oh and Andrea Main mentioned the 1st of February will be Awards Night where those of you who have helped out or volunteered will be recognized at the award presentation and then there will be a dance with Greg Mcginnis supplying the music and The Ladies Auxiliary will being putting on one of their great spreads at the end of the evening. Ok heads up Shirley Miller is reminding us to please get your dues paid before the 31 of this month.( By cheque only). Oh and a reminder the 26 January Sunday at 1pm the Country Gentlemen will be holding one of there famous Jam Sessions and if todays practice session was any indicator your in for some great Music. (Psst get there early as the hall fills up awful fast this is becoming a very popular venue. Now the Ladies Auxiliary ... are an integral part of the Legion so a lot of hands can get things done a lot faster and yes Beverly Morley is looking for some new hands on Ladies who can help with the food preparation. Hey Guys you know how the women call us Angels well you to can be an Auxiliary Angel So yes you to can join in the group. and you don`t even have to be a member of the Legion but yes guys there are times when the lifting of Heavy boxes of groceries or moving heavy pots on and off the stove will be appreciated. And to all of the gang from Black Gold & Texas Tea even if you don`t join please give Beverly Morley your name when they need some special help. We know our gang can be counted on. Well all and all for you guys far away in Cyber Space sure wish you were back in the Park to Join in with all the fun we are having at the Greenfield Park Legion.
