********Black Gold & Texas Tea Weekly Review********* Well the car was all cleaned and warmed up By the Snow Fairy and it wasn’t long before I was off and running First question I had when arriving at the Legion was regarding the fire place and Yes the Fireplace Chimney had been cleaned so Wayne Mayberry was our official fire starter today . Well as the morning progressed and the numbers of Clan increased the sound level also rose proportionally. We ended up some where between 55 and 60. Well I have come to the conclusion that two loaves of Chopped Egg and Onion sandwiches are not enough. I do believe we will have to increase it to three loaves because the sandwiches disappeared in under 15 minutes and then they attacked John Burns Famous White Chocolate Chip Cookies and finally Albert arrived with 4 pans of Home Made Cookies from Dessa (Irita from Piazza Pazzas Mother in Law) Well every one was pumped up on sugar and the decibel count rose some more until there was a steady HUMMMM!!!~~~~. Thanks to Deborah and Sharon for selling the tickets for our weekly Draw this week we gave away Beautiful cups from Starbucks and gift Certificate from Piazza Pazza , ( Big thanks to Irita) and John Deragon won 70 odd dollars in the Half and Half Draw. Now for those of you who don’t know we bought a Pop Corn Machine and it won’t be long before we will be having alternate Thursday “Pop Corn and a Movie Night” Oh and next Friday will be our Christmas Dinner prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary Hey If you want to join us the tickets are ten dollars and we will be having Ragout de Pate de Couchon and Tortier de Lac St. Jean oh and this includes drawings and also a Half and Half Draw. Well a big Thanks to Linda Lawlor who handled everything behind the Bar and to Morven Kane who gave her a hand a couple of times and gave some sage advice in handling Large and unruly Crowds. (Joke) It was around 2pm when I took My leave and we headed down the highway for Brossard Beach and yes we were taking care of business. Oh welcome back to Bob Johnstone who just arrived from the South and was looking a wee bit shell shocked. It was good to see Gerry Peltier and his wife who were attending their son’s wedding ln Manila. Well on behalf of Don and Albert and Myself glad you could stop by and Cliff W. Thanks for the support getting Oriette Safely downstairs. Sure will be glad when the Handicapped Elevator gets installed. And to all you guys out there in Cyber Space “Keep Your Stick on the Ice” This is James and I am up in the “Birds Nest” in the Tall Oak Tree down in the Park by St. Charles.
