Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin Win Grammys Comments 1 Merlin at 11:38am January 27 2014 Black bloody Sabbath It wasn’t a particularly great showing for metal and hard rock in last night’s Grammy Awards. While Black Sabbath walked away with a gong for Best Metal Performance via God Is Dead?, they also lost out on awards to the likes of Paul McCartney and Led Zeppelin in other categories. Yes, that’s Led Zeppelin. They won the Grammy for best rock album. For a live album. Sure. It’s almost like it’s a totally nonsensical awards show that has no bearing on or relevance to metal whatsoever. Almost.
