Blacksheep MILSIM – The XO Episodes: The Inside Scoop No marketing, No sales pitch – just MILSIM! As Operation Blacksheep brings this unique experience to new communities, I was faced with a dilemma – “How do I accelerate the learning curve?” I thought long and hard, finally coming to the conclusion to reach out to experienced Blacksheep Squad Leaders who knew how to fight, survive and win at a Blacksheep event. These four gentlemen didn’t hesitate when asked to be an Executive Officer (XO) for Operation Blacksheep @ Guernsey in Wyoming. They weren’t paid to do this and they paid their own way to get there. None of these guys have prior military experience. What they know, they have learned through perseverance, confidence and the adversity of the WALL at Operation Blacksheep. Directly after a continuous 24+ hour MILSIM experience, pushing vehicles through 4-6 foot snow banks, frigid cold conditions, fighting through the night with no sleep, we asked the XOs to sit down for a TABLE TALK. Jutsin Pinera is the Squad Leader for 87 Foxtrot/Shadow Company from Delaware. He has attended 6 Blacksheep events. He works in HVAC Sales. Ross Oder is the Squad Leader for MidState Mercenaries Airsoft from Central New York. He has attended 9 Blacksheep events and is an Operation Pine Plains Pathfinder. He works as the manager for a Pari-mutuel company United Tote @ Vernon Downs Race Track. (Harness horse racing) Bernie VanBuskirk is the Squad Leader for Team 811 from Central Connecticut. He has attended 9 Blacksheep events. He is an Operations Manager at FedEx Express. Christian Chastain is the Squad Leader for Wolverines from Maryland. He has attended 8 Blacksheep events. He owns a locksmith company in the Baltimore/DC area.
